No Nicotine Water Vapes

While it might sound like a healthier option, vaping water can be potentially dangerous, exposing your mouth, throat, and lungs to hot steam. This is because water evaporates at a much lower temperature than e-liquids. When water is heated for vaporization, it will boil, producing steam that could irritate or even burn your airways.

Consider this: you wouldn’t inhale the steam coming off a boiling kettle — at least we hope not. Vaping pure water can have a similar effect.

Even if you find a water-based vape that operates at a safe, low temperature, the best you’ll get is a weak stream of flavorless steam. Water just can’t produce the robust aerosol you get with regular base liquid. Our verdict? It’s just not worth it.

Pure water vapes don’t exist, but there are vapes that contain a mixture of water, vegetable glycerin (VG), and propylene glycol (PG). These vapes use AQ30, the only water-based e-liquid commercially available, which is 30% water. Vapes designed for AQ30 e-liquid operate at a lower temperature than normal vaping devices to save users from inhaling dangerous steam.

While these water-based vapes tend to be less dehydrating than regular vapes, this is their only benefit. The high water content makes the vapor weak and flavorless. If you’re looking for a satisfying experience, you can’t beat regular, waterless vapes.

Vaping without nicotine prevents addiction and other nicotine side effects while providing the throat hit and sensory experience of smoking. The point isn’t for anyone to pick up nicless vaping — it’s for people who already smoke or vape and want a healthier alternative.

Many smokers and nicotine vapers switch to no-nicotine vapes to curb cravings and reduce their dependence on nicotine, with the goal of eventually quitting vaping altogether. Non-nicotine vapes can effectively satisfy the oral fixation or hand-to-mouth habit for those who miss the act of smoking or vaping, making it easier to transition away from nicotine.

Nicotine-free vapes do not create physical dependence like nicotine products, but vaping without nicotine can still become a regular habit. Some vapers develop a behavioral addiction to the act of vaping, even without nicotine. This can happen whether you rely on nicless vapes to manage stress, curb nicotine cravings, or simply enjoy the ritual of vaping.

Don’t let this scare you away from non-nicotine vaping. If you want to quit nicotine, switching to nicless vapes is a great way to reduce harm and ease your transition to a smoke-free lifestyle. When you’re ready to quit vaping, breaking a vaping habit is much easier without the chemical dependence and withdrawal symptoms that come with nicotine addiction.

Nicotine is responsible for the buzz you get from smoking cigarettes or traditional vaping, so you won’t feel a buzz from clean vapes. People don’t vape 0 nicotine for the buzz, but to satisfy the oral fixation associated with smoking or vaping without the addictive properties or nasty side effects.

The most common side effects of vaping propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine are dry mouth, sore throat, coughing, and lung irritation. Both PG and VG are generally recognized as safe for use in e-liquids, but if you experience any persistent or serious adverse effects, it could be a good idea to consult a healthcare professional.

Non-nicotine vapes like ARRØ are the best option for those seeking healthier, safer alternatives to traditional vapes. Avoid vapes containing known harmful ingredients like vitamin E acetate, diacetyl, and artificial flavoring compounds — these may be safe for use in food, but they’re hazardous when inhaled.

The healthiest vape devices combine premium-grade vape juice with high-quality vaping elements that operate at a consistent temperature to avoid overheating or burning the e-juice, which can produce even more harmful chemicals (like formaldehyde). Want to avoid this? Opt for ARRØ and you’ll be in good hands.

Unflavored vapes tend to be safer than flavored options because they contain fewer chemical ingredients overall. Many artificial flavoring chemicals are toxic to the body when heated and inhaled, even if they are considered food-grade and safe for consumption.

But you don’t have to limit yourself to flavorless vapes to avoid the health risks of artificial flavorings. At ARRØ, we use real fruit extracts for flavoring to cut down on unnecessary chemical additives and keep our vapes as clean and harmless as possible.
