Choosing vaping products that are nicotine-free is generally going to be better for you than using nicotine-containing vapes. In the U.S.A., the legal age to buy what the government calls "tobacco products" is 21. And yes, even non-nicotine vapes are considered "tobacco products" for the age requirement.

However, two states have set the legal age to 19 (Alaska and Arizona), and a handful of others have set the age at 18 (Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia and Wisconsin).

Elsewhere in the world – in the U.K., for example – the legal age to buy vapes or vaping accessories is 18. The minimum age is also 18 in Canada, though some provinces have raised that age to 19 or 21.
